Ladram Bay
Who needs foreign when the sun shines on the UK. Ladram Bay on a hot August day with calm sea says it all
RETRIBUTION
RETRIBUTION
A POEM BY HARRY HUNT
DEDICATED TO OUR FALLEN. MAY THEY NOW REST IN PEACE.
© Harry Hunt 2016
For four decades
‘This sceptered Isle,
This precious stone
Set in a silver sea’
(To quote The Bard.)
Became a waning star.
Subverted bit by bit in a stealthy way
By those who could not see,
Or comprehend
That which made us who we are,
Our history.
An island nation, waiting for our day,
Of glory in the sun which never set
On empire benevolent in the main,
Evolved across two thousand years
From pre Romano
To the here and now.
Our heritage, our national pride,
Our fishing grounds,
Our laws
Our freedom, our democracy,
Our national identity
And a thousand other things for which
Our myriad fallen comrades died.
In war or peace they fell unknown,
Lives unlived, cut short, alone.
Betrayal screamed from Victory’s decks
My inner fury
Raged unchecked
Until today, the day of reckoning arrived
I put my cross into the box
My sword into the side
Of what we call ESTABLISHMENT
Oh how with joy I cried.
When counting ended
And twas plain
The EU beast was slain
And we the people could reclaim
That most precious restoration of them all.
FREEDOM as I recall!

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY
Question.
What sort of government cuts hospitals, A&Es, and vital welfare services while allowing mass immigration to increase pressure on all.
Answer.
A totally incompetent, corrupt, out of touch, uncaring, 'look after the rich' Europhile one who think it's more important to waste our money (billions) on the failing European 'empire in the making' and foreign bribes.
Can you also imagine the day we'll soon have an EU army that can be used to control this offshore regional colony that used to be the UK nation. None of us will be safe in our own homes and if for any reason they want you out they'll just do it. It's what non-democratic, despotic bureaucratic regimes do to ordinary people in places like N. Korea, etc. Only the ruling elite matter.
Add to that we'll have to join the Euro and be part of the Schengen zone and we have the perfect recipe for self destruction, which will ensure collapse of our NHS and all our vital public services, infrastructure and energy provision.
Make this the year the ‘people’ triumphed over establishment arrogance, which assumes it’s always safe in the knowledge that ‘not fit for purpose’ First Past The Post will always assure their place on the green benches and corridors of power whoever ‘wins’ to form a minority government the majority don’t want.
It doesn't have to be this way if we vote BREXIT in June and UKIP in May.
Thanks for reading this and if you agree I hope you share my post with any other patriotic NHS supporting friends

Trelawney sung at Helston
Trelawny
With a good sword and a trusty shieldA faithful heart and true
King James's men shall understand
What Cornish men can do
And have they fixed the where and when?
And shall Trelawny die?
Here's twenty thousand Cornish men
Will know the reason why.
Chorus
And shall Trelawny live?
Or shall Trelawny die?
Here's twenty thousand Cornish men
Will know the reason why.
And shall Trelawny live?
Or shall Trelawny die?
Here's twenty thousand Cornish men
Will know the reason why.
Out spake the captain brave and bold
A merry wight was he
Though London Tower were Michael's hold
We'll set Trelawny free
We'll cross the Tamar, land to land
The Severn is no stay
Then one and all and hand in hand
And who shall bid us nay.
A merry wight was he
Though London Tower were Michael's hold
We'll set Trelawny free
We'll cross the Tamar, land to land
The Severn is no stay
Then one and all and hand in hand
And who shall bid us nay.
And when we came to London wall
A pleasant sight to view
Come forth, come forth, ye cowards all
Here are better men than you
Trelawny, he's in keep in hold
Trelawny he may die
But twenty thousand Cornish men
Will know the reason why.
A pleasant sight to view
Come forth, come forth, ye cowards all
Here are better men than you
Trelawny, he's in keep in hold
Trelawny he may die
But twenty thousand Cornish men

CONVOY
The dead are on the move in this grim month of February. The hearses and their convoys are passing through the village it seems in ever increasing numbers as The Grim Reaper gathers in the harvest.
Somewhere on the list is my name and it moves up towards the top irrevocably and without mercy.
I'm not as healthy as I was and some days are a real challenge, but dammit I've had a life at least, a life of many facets.
Ups and downs, failures and successes and always, always lucky not only in love but in terms of fate and circumstance. Timing it seems is everything.
I,ve been a survivor in the true meaning of the word, not only surviving the dangers of city life in a dangerous occupation but also in overcoming my own mental demons in the search for who and why I am.
Now retired, I have found peace, security and I hope a little wisdom in the rural idyll of Somerset.
A home,garden, family, music, art.
I could not ask for more.
I am extremely grateful to Lady Luck.
But herein lies the tragedy and sadness -
the millions who've been less fortunate - never had a life or one severely traumatized by loss or illness, war or crime, circumstances beyond their control. People, children who have nothing, except the clothes on their back.
I ask what make me so special that I deserve such fortune.
In truth I don't, and in no way am I special.
Millions died in world wars, mostly in the flower of their youth. I just missed that but because of them I'm a free man.
I shall remember them and all the others and weep for them, but I will never understand why it had to be this way.

FLOATER
What's the matter with this flush
Don't wanna make the ladies blush.
Goddamn floater
Just won't goter
Where it's s'poster
Round the U bend
To the sewer
And Turdleigh End
Where prize tomatoes grow.
Give the handle a harder go
Hope to get a stronger flow
Damn it - no
It's back again
Never happened with a chain.

MELANCHOLY TIME
My mind is filled with sadness - the sadness of human loss, the sadness of human suffering, the sadness of injustice, the sadness of transient mortality. November 11 will soon be upon us. I will wear my poppy and stand in tearful silence at the eleventh hour.
Until then I shall reflect on the innate goodness and heroism of those I can never hope to emulate and make my small contribution to such causes as children in need. I wish I could do so much more.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
. Why don't environmental and wildlife protection agencies see the link between overpopulation and destruction of habitat and species?
We received a begging letter from the Woodland Trust today
Here is my response.
We received a begging letter from the Woodland Trust today
Here is my response.
Thank you for your offer to join the Woodland trust
Much as I love our natural woodland (what’s left of it),
I have little enthusiasm for donating to its preservation
when we have a government committed to allowing in millions more EU immigrants
over the coming years and consequently having to bulldoze huge amounts of our
precious countryside to make ever more room for houses and associated
infrastructure, of schools, factories, transport, health and education etc
which in this small overcrowded island seems completely unsustainable.
What chance has woodland
got when the developers under Mr Cameron’s relaxed planning laws can build
anywhere they like it seems on much more valuable land in terms of food production.
I’m sorry to say that in years to come there will be little
need for organisations such as yourselves, wishing to protect the natural
environment because there won’t be any left to protect.
I suggest you start a campaign involving ALL wildlife and
environmental protection organisations to reverse this trend before our country
becomes uninhabitable.
Only then will I be prepared to part with any disposable
income which is then hopefully not a lost cause.
Meanwhile I will continue to contribute to the UKIP coffers
as the only place my money will do any good if it means we can exit the madness
of the EU and restore sanity to our once green and pleasant land.
Regards

A DIFFERENT WORLD THEN IN PC TERMS
This
was originally shown on BBC TV
back in the 70's. Ronnie Barker could say all this without a snigger, though
God knows after how many takes.
The irony is,BBC received not one
complaint.
The speed of delivery must have been too much
for the whining herds. Try getting through it without converting the spoonerisms [and not wetting your pants] as you read.......
This is the story of Rindercella and her sugly isters.
Rindercella and her sugly isters lived in a marge lansion. Rindercella worked very hard frubbing scloors, emptying poss pits, and shivelling shot.
At the end of the day, she was knucking fackered. The sugly isters were right bugly astards. One was called Mary Hinge, and the other was called Betty Swallocks; they were really forrible huckers; they had fetty sweet and fatty swannies.
The sugly isters had tickets to go to the ball, but
the cotton runts would not let Rindercella go.
Suddenly there was a bucking fang, and her gairy fodmother appeared. Her name was Shairy Hithole and she was a light rucking fesbian. She turned a pumpkin and six mite wice into a hucking cuge farriage with six dandy ronkeys who had buge hollocks and dig bicks. The gairy fodmother told Rindercella to be back by dimnlight otherwise, there would be a cucking falamity.
At the ball, Rindercella was dancing with the prandsome hince when suddenly the clock struck twelve. "Mist all chucking frighty!!!" said Rindercella, and she ran out tripping barse over ollocks, so dropping her slass glipper..
The very next day, the prandsome hince knocked
on Rindercella's door and the sugly isters let him in.. Suddenly, Betty Swallocks lifted her leg and let
off a fig bart. "Who's fust jarted?" asked the prandsome hince. "Blame that fugly ucker over there!!" said Mary Hinge.
When the stinking brown cloud had lifted, he tried the slass glipper on both the sugly isters without success and their feet stucking funk..
Betty Swallocks was ducking fisgusted and gave the prandsome hince a knack in the kickers. This was not difficult as he had bucking fuge halls and a hig bard on. He tried the slass glipper on Rindercella and it fitted pucking ferfectly.
Rindercella and the prandsome hince were married. The pransome hince lived his life in lucking fuxury, and Rindercella lived hers with a follen swanny!
I have always thought Ronnie Barker hasnt been properley recognised as one of the all time best comedy writer and actors of all time!
